Lime Tree Restaurant Sister Company The Silly Goose & Gallery

The Lime Tree restaurant is a firm favourite with the Ashburn house family. We have celebrated many family birthdays there and is one of our first stops when we have friends in town. Not only is the food and service excellent, the restaurant is only a five minute stroll from Ashburn House.

The multi award winning restaurant offers an intimate dining experience, with an open kitchen. The food philosophy is that dishes are made fresh from locally sourced seasonal ingredients. The menu has some traditional Scottish dishes.

Sunday Times Restaurant review.

“The Lime Tree Restaurant style is one we have come to know as Fiddly Posh Scottish: Lamb with a family tree, duck that went to Gordonstoun, fish that kept its nose clean. All this technically superb, and while served in a part of the country not blessed with an abundance of fine dining, nonetheless worthy of comparison with the cities best. Fort William finally has a heavy-weight culinary destination.”

Reservations advised during high seasons. Bookings can be made on there website http://thesillygooserestaurant.com

The Limetree Gallery exhibits contemporary art and hosts around two public exhibitions a year. The gallery is the studio base for visual artist David Wilson and Mohamed Sardo who’s work is on permanent display in the gallery and throughout the restaurant. There is also a gallery shop that sells a great range of jewellery, wood, glassware, ceramics, textiles, prints and cards.

The gallery is free, so why not stop in.
