Another absolute favourite of the Ashburn House guest house family, we would go as far as saying that no trip to Fort William is complete without taking the drive down to Onich, North Ballachulish for a seafood feast. Also a winner with our Bed and Breakfast Guests.

The Restaurant

In our opinion the seafood cafe provides the best Scottish shellfish, simply but expertly cooked, allowing the natural product take centre stage. With an adjoining dispatch centre, you are guaranteed the freshest live shellfish available.

The Seafood cafe offers an extensive shellfish menu and a monthly changing, alternative menu featuring fish, meat and vegetarian options all at affordable prices. There is also a selection of local beers and an extensive wine list which will complement any meal.

The restaurant has a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and views of the Pap of Glencoe and Loch Leven, that is why we love to make the short trip from Fort William to devour (we mean savour) our seafood platters.

Reservations advised during high seasons.

The Shop

The cafe shop sells live shellfish and fresh and frozen fish, plus a range of Spanish deli products. Weather permitting they have live lobster, langoustines, crab, mussels, surf clams, razor clams, scallops and oysters available. They also have frozen and cooked products and if you want a lobster or crab cooked while you wait they can do this for you. Plus, you can buy the line of Spanish crockery they use in the restaurant itself.
